My client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their Sales Department. This role is pivotal in retaining and growing key accounts as well as sourcing new business opportunities through exhibitions and sales. The ideal candidate will focus on securing high-value deals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring contract values are maintained or increased compared to previous editions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders through a consultative approach.
  • Achieve and exceed personal and show revenue and profit targets.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the specific objectives, aims, and ambitions of your client base.
  • Work closely within the business to identify aims, objectives, and requirements, tailoring opportunities to create strong partnership propositions.
  • Proactively identify new sales opportunities, developing them into long-term profitable relationships.
  • Collaborate with departments such as content and marketing to enhance event processes and outcomes.
  • Attend events to liaise with exhibitor/sponsor clients onsite, ensuring their contracts are fulfilled and addressing all concerns and needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in B2B conference and exhibition sponsorship/exhibition sales, preferably in the global market.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet ambitious sales targets.
  • Proficient in lead generation, cold calling, working with CRM systems, and developing sponsorship and exhibition proposals.
  • Experience in the energy sector is a bonus but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of building long-term business relationships.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
