Are you a passionate and experienced leader ready to take on the challenge of opening and managing a new children’s residential home?

We’re working with a reputable children’s care provider to recruit a Registered Home Manager for a new home supporting up to 4 children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and some mental health needs. You’ll lead a team of 10 staff, with 3 on shift at any one time, and play a central role in creating a safe, therapeutic and high-performing environment from day one.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead the launch and day-to-day running of the home, embedding a strong and supportive team culture.
  • Ofsted Excellence: Facilitate care and operational standards that aim for ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection outcomes – with a bonus scheme in place when achieved.
  • Safeguarding & Wellbeing: Promote recovery, resilience and healthy development for each young person through therapeutic and individualised support.
  • Staff Oversight: Manage, support and develop a team of 10 staff, including rotas, supervision, appraisals and training.
  • Compliance & Engagement: Maintain full regulatory compliance and build effective relationships with professionals, families, and local authorities.

     What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent
  • NVQ or Diploma in Residential Childcare(essential)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting
  • In-depth understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding frameworks
  • Proven ability to drive standards to achieve ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • A resilient, therapeutic, and child-focused approach to leadership
