Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: From £26,000 - £32,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

Location: Redhill RH1.

Schedule: 40 hours per week 10:30am - 21:00pm, Monday to Thursday.

About The Role:

Reporting to the Production Manager and Senior Team Leader, the CNC Machine Operator operates CNC machines, upholds quality and safety standards, keeping records as appropriate, whilst maintaining equipment and supplies.

  • No previous machining experience required
  • All training is developed in house, potential to move into a CNC setting / programming role

Duties Include:

  • Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning etc
  • Preparing and loading raw materials and parts into the machines
  • To be responsible and fully accountable for ensuring all completed parts conform with all specifications and quality deliverables as appropriate
  • As directed, warming up machines every morning, emptying swarf trays so as to ensure efficient machine functionality with ongoing cleaning, tidying and inspecting of each machine and surrounding area throughout the day
  • Undertakes standard CNC operator responsibilities as and when required together with de-burring, tapping, shuffling, washing and cleaning finished parts, as necessary
  • Ensures that every machine process is undertaken in compliance with the company guidelines
  • Meets all advised schedules and timelines and maintains continuity among work shift by communicating actions, irregularities and progress of tasks assigned.
  • In consultation with the Production Manager, ensures all machines remain well stocked to maintain continuity of production at all times
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoots machines, ensuring a clean and tidy workplace
  • Ensures all paperwork is completed in accordance with company guidelines and the production system is updated as appropriate
  • To achieve throughput against stated targets by following defined procedures and comply with quality standards
  • Strictly adhering to all Company health and safety procedures
  • Demonstrating a strong team approach ensuring clear communication with colleagues at all levels
  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by the Management team
