About UsWe are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate Deputy Room Leader to join our wonderful nursery setting in Redhill, Surrey, RH1!
We are an independent, OUTSTANDING OFSTED rated day care, proud to have a dedicated and passionate team of Early Years Educators already in our team. We care for children aged 3 months - 5 years and our setting is divided into four rooms.
Our kind and welcoming nursery has low staff turnover, opportunities for progression and an amazing staff wellbeing package! You will be based in the Under 2’s room.
- Salary: £28,500 - £31,000pa - depending on age, qualifications, and experience

Deputy Room Leader - Days/Hours: (Please see below)
- 42 Hours across 4 Days
- Our shifts are either 7:30-6:00pm or 8-6:30pm
- All Year / Permanent

Deputy Room Leader Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and nap times, ensuring a structured environment.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with other educators to develop innovative programmes that enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
About YouThe ideal candidate will:
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (full and relevant)
- Have previous experience as a nursery practitioner or similar role
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Capability to drive initiatives that enhance the educational experience for children.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to outdoor learning and inclusive practices
- Possess excellent communication skills for interacting with parents and carers
- Be eligible to work in the UK
