Our client, a company providing engineering solutions for the pharmaceutical, life science, and food and beverage industries has a unique opportunity to join their team in Redhill as an HR & Administration Assistant and Supervisor.

You will be part of a close knit team and you will manage key HR, administration and payroll administration tasks, supporting managers and directors with people processes and helping to deliver a professional and proactive HR function.

This is a full time onsite role with an opportunity to work from home one day a fortnight.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the finance-related elements of HR administration, including payroll and expenses processing support.
  • Supporting the management team in rolling out HR plans and initiatives.
  • Attending and minute taking in meetings.
  • Assisting with Board-level tasks, such as salary benchmarking and reporting.
  • Coordinating training and development schedules.
  • Supporting the recruitment lifecycle - writing job descriptions, onboarding, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Covering payroll administration during absences (full training will be provided).
  • Providing general HR administrative support.

You will have the opportunity to travel quarterly to their Ireland office (2-4 nights per trip).

About you:

  • You will have worked in an HR administrative or HR support /operations role and you will have some UK payroll knowledge.
  • Sound understanding of HR best practice and basic employment laws would be beneficial in this role.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and experience using HR software (ideally Breathe HR).
  • You will be self-motivated and able to conduct work on a confidential basis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to travel quarterly to Ireland will be needed.
