Compliance Specialist - Information Security Focus

£30,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)

WeDoGroup are supporting the recruitment of a Compliance Specialist to play a key role in driving compliance and information security initiatives across a regulated financial services environment. This is a diverse and autonomous role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining operational execution with strategic oversight.

You'll lead projects aligned to international regulatory frameworks, coordinate InfoSec efforts across internal and external teams, and implement practical control frameworks to mitigate risks. The role offers variety, visibility, and the chance to influence compliance culture across the business.

The Role

Compliance & Information Security Coordination

  • Lead the implementation of information security policies across the business.
  • Ensure practices comply with internal ICT/InfoSec standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support incident response, documentation, and security awareness training.
  • Maintain local repositories for InfoSec and ICT documentation.

Contract & Outsourcing Governance

  • Collaborate with outsourcing leads to ensure contracts meet all compliance requirements.
  • Monitor IT and service providers for adherence to quality and performance standards.

EUC Oversight & Local Control

  • Manage End User Computing (EUC) compliance activities.
  • Oversee local EUC portfolios and ensure regular updates, reporting, and recertification.

Advisory & Risk Management

  • Identify risks, assess existing controls, and implement improvements.
  • Provide guidance to business units and support internal compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies as needed.

Your Profile

  • Experience in compliance or regulatory risk roles
  • Working knowledge of information security governance
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Practical, detail-oriented, and resilient under pressure
