About the Role

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering the academic and personal growth of children at a crucial stage in their primary education. You will join a dedicated Key Stage 2 team, contributing to a positive and nurturing school culture. This role requires a creative and inspiring teacher who can deliver the KS2 curriculum effectively and manage a classroom with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in core subjects (English & Maths) in line with the KS2 curriculum.

  • Teach a broad and balanced range of foundation subjects, bringing learning to life.

  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour to create a safe and productive learning environment.

  • Regularly assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Provide excellent pastoral care and support to ensure the well-being of all students.

  • Develop and prepare engaging teaching resources and materials.

  • Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.

  • Collaborate with the KS2 team and wider school staff on planning and school-wide initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Proven experience as a primary teacher, with experience in Key Stage 2 (KS2) being highly desirable.

  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.

  • A genuine passion for teaching and fostering a love of learning.

  • Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
