Reed HR are currently recruiting for a ER Advisor to join our client in Redhill, Surrey on a 6-month fixed term contract.

Responsible to: Head of People - Employee Relations

My client is looking for someone who is a either a chartered member of CIPD or Level 7 CIPD qualified with strong ER experience. 

3 days on site, 2 days working from home.

You will have previous experience within Public Sector and be up for a challenge within a fast-paced environment. 

Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)

The role:

The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Employee Relations to provide comprehensive ER support with regards to resourcing, organisational change, employee relations and terms and conditions of employment.

The role will support the forward planning, modernisation and performance of the ER Service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to -

  • To work with the Head of People - Employee Relations to plan how ER KPIs are implemented and reviewed within the Service.  Taking responsibility for ensuring tasks are delegated and managed efficiently and effectively within the ER team e.g., organising the management of sickness trigger information and the update of appraisal data within the team.
  • To be the central point of contact for managers and ER colleagues offering advice and information to assist the Trust in achieving its objectives.
  • To support Head of Employee Relations to contribute to the development of workforce plans that support local and corporate business strategy.
  • To support the ER team’s input into reviewing and developing the Trust’s Policy and Procedures to promote best practice and safeguard the risks of non-compliance with employment legislation.
  • To provide monthly ER Activity reports for submission to HR BPs & Divisional leads.  Reports to be completed at the beginning of each month from Assure HR Case (ER Case management system)
  • To take responsibility to review all HR policies and procedures to ensure that they are ratified prior to the end of their expiration dates and are implemented.
  • To deputise for the Head of Employee Relations and attend any senior management meetings operational meetings where required, providing workforce updates and support on operational issues.
  • Produce the monthly and quarterly ER performance dashboards for the organisation at Trust and Directorate level
  • Responsible for the coordination of Job Matching, planning and coordinating of panels to ensure that all job descriptions are evaluated in a timely manner.
  • Lead on the identification of ER related quality and cost efficiency schemes and support their delivery. 
  • To ensure team resources are utilised in a cost-effective manner.
