Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of students with various learning disabilities.
- Assess and record students' progress, and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
- Implement IEPs (Individual Education Plans), adjusting them as necessary to suit educational goals.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to facilitate a supportive learning environment.
- Utilise and adapt resources to ensure that all students have access to learning.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in special educational needs (SEN) settings.
- Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage and support SEN students effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students with diverse educational backgrounds and abilities.
- Patience, creativity, and dedication to student development and education.
