Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of students with various learning disabilities.
  • Assess and record students' progress, and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
  • Implement IEPs (Individual Education Plans), adjusting them as necessary to suit educational goals.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to facilitate a supportive learning environment.
  • Utilise and adapt resources to ensure that all students have access to learning.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in special educational needs (SEN) settings.
  • Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage and support SEN students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students with diverse educational backgrounds and abilities.
  • Patience, creativity, and dedication to student development and education.
