About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate SEND Teacher to join our inclusive team. You’ll support pupils with a range of special educational needs, delivering tailored lessons and interventions that help every child thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with support staff and external professionals
- Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
- Implement IEPs and Behaviour Support Plans
- Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech/language needs
- Promote positive behaviour and strong home-school communication
- Contribute to enrichment and staff development
Essential Requirements:
- QTS
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND
- Knowledge of inclusive strategies and SEND Code of Practice
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- SEN qualifications (e.g. NASENCO, autism training)
- Experience writing/reviewing EHCPs
- Familiarity with assistive technology
- Experience supporting pupils with complex medical/physical needs
