Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (Voice) – Band 7

Location: East Surrey

Working Hours: Full-time

Flexible working: Remote/Hybrid

Rate: £30.00ph - £32.00ph (Umbrella Equivalent)

Are you an experienced and passionate Speech and Language Therapist with a specialism in voice disorders? Our client is seeking a Highly Specialist SLT for Voice to join a forward-thinking and compassionate team within the Cancer and Diagnostics Division.

You will lead on the assessment and treatment of patients with complex voice disorders (organic, functional, and oncological), supporting both inpatients and outpatients. Working closely within a multidisciplinary team, you will also provide expertise in the joint ENT/SLT Voice Clinic, supporting cases referred from ENT and the Head & Neck MDT.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver highly specialist SLT assessments and treatment plans for patients with acquired dysphonia.
  • Lead the joint ENT/SLT voice clinic and conduct laryngographic voice assessments.
  • Provide expert supervision to junior SLTs, assistants, and students.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and research.
  • Deliver formal/informal training to staff, MDT members, and external partners.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Membership with RCSLT.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in managing adult voice disorders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience supervising junior SLTs or students.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate training in counselling or voice.
  • Membership of relevant Clinical Excellence Networks (CEN).
  • Experience delivering training or contributing to clinical publications.
