Plant Manager

Redruth, Cornwall

£30,000- £50,000 doe

A leading Civils contractor has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager to join their team. It's the perfect time to join the Plant Department as the team is currently investing in fantastic new equipment and operating out of brand-new offices. The company is a main player in the civils sector, working across the entirety of the southwest, with a strong focus on quality and customer relations and the Plant fleet is constantly growing, so your day to day will always be exciting with no two days being the same.

The role

The position itself is vital to the day to day running of the Plant Department, overseeing the office, liaising with key suppliers and team members, and ensuring that everything is up to date.

This role is ideal for anyone who thrives working with vehicles or plant equipment and wants to join a company that will seek to broaden their skillsets and knowledge, professionally and otherwise.

About you and your responsibilities

The right candidate should be enthusiastic and well organised, as this position will involve managerial responsibilities. Also, the ideal candidate should have experience in a similar position of managing, preferably vehicle or plant equipment.

Among the day to day running of the office, some of your expected duties will include:

Managing all assets

Keeping certification on the system

Liaise with our workshop team comprising workshop manager, two mobile fitters and three workshop fitters

Sorting all new purchased plant equipment

Booking sign writing

Keep records of all GPS System Information

Record all movement of plant from site to site

Liaise with suppliers

Attend weekly meetings

Produce monthly reports

Organise testing for our lifting equipment

Invoice queries and sign offs

Oversee the general plant office

Experience

Excellent organisational experience

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)

Experience in managerial roles

Enthusiastic, and forward-thinking skills

Experience working in a Plant, Parts or Vehicle department is essential

Driving Licence (Required)
