This is a temporary, part-time position with ideal working hours for anyone seeking term-time employment in the education sector.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:15pm (4.25 hours per day)

As a School Assistant Cook, you will work closely with the school catering team to support preparation and service of daily school meals. You will ensure food hygiene and safety standards are met and assist with general kitchen duties throughout the lunch period.

Requirements for the School Assistant Cook role:

• Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificates (essential)

• Previous experience in a kitchen, school, or catering environment (preferred)

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Commitment to safeguarding children and young people

• Willingness to complete a full enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (mandatory)
