Role: Production Planner
Location: Retford

Salary: Up to 30,000 DOE

An established leader in the design and manufacture of innovative water management and environmental engineering solutions is seeking a proactive Assistant Production and Inventory Planner to join its busy Production and Assembly team.

Working within a dynamic manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in coordinating production schedules, supporting procurement, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials from design through to fabrication. This role offers the opportunity to build in-depth knowledge of unique mechanical and electrical products, contributing directly to the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Production & Assembly in developing and maintaining production schedules.
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  • Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage part requirements across assemblies.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, proactively resolving supply or production challenges.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Design, and Project teams to align schedules and priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records and data across internal systems.

About You:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings; experience with CAD is advantageous.
  • Confident IT user, particularly in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
