A tremendous opportunity for a hands on, customer facing and passionate Food and Beverage Professional, taking on the leadership of this service to build on our success in delivering a quality and high value for money experience.

This full-time role is based around an average 40 hours per week structured to the seasonal peaks that are a natural part of Golf Club operations.

The role requires the leadership of the entire F&B team and will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth service, high quality, and profitability, while also managing staff and maintaining a positive member and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets.
  • Ensure efficient and timely service, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and ensure availability.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Supervisor to develop and implement menus, ensuring they meet member and guest expectations and are profitable.
  • Reviewing and managing suppliers and contractors value and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food and beverage areas.
Staff Management:
  • Hire, train, develop and manage food and beverage staff, including bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff.
  • Schedule staff, manage wages and costs, and ensure compliance with labour laws.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to improve staff skills and performance.
  • Motivate and engage staff to create a positive and productive work environment.
Financial Management:
  • Maximise use of the EPOS to record and monitor sales, costs, and profitability of food and beverage operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and track actual performance against targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
Member and Guest Experience:
  • Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
  • Address any complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Promote the food and beverage offerings to members and visitors.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., golf operations, committees) to ensure a seamless member and guest experience.
Other Duties:
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Lead delivery of special events and functions, as needed
Ideal Requirements for the role:
  • Proven experience in a management capacity in a similar role (such as Food & Beverage Manager, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Restaurant Manager or Publican)
  • Strong leadership
  • Personal License Holder (desirable)
  • Experience of recruiting, training and developing staff
  • Experience of budgeting and cost control
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Meticulous eye for detail and exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with a confident and outgoing personality
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Passion for delivering exceptional service standards and able to deal with feedback in a positive and pro-active manner
  • Ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced and occasionally challenging environment
  • Positive and flexible approach to work (Weekend and evening work will be required)
  • Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience of managing teams of 5 or more staff
  • Understanding of Social Media
