Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join the outpatient team at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. This is a part-time locum position offering 22.5 hours per week, ideal for a clinician looking for flexibility while still engaging in impactful patient care.

The successful candidate will work within a well-established musculoskeletal service, supporting patients with a wide range of conditions through assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to MSK outpatients.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of musculoskeletal conditions, including both acute and chronic presentations.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
  • Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and long-term condition management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS guidelines.
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement projects where applicable.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, including substantial time in MSK settings.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and manual therapy skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with NHS MSK pathways and documentation systems.
  • Previous use of electronic patient record systems.
  • Training in pain management, exercise therapy, or advanced MSK techniques.
