Our client, based in Brompton-on-Swale, is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join their team. As an integral part of the business, you’ll provide expert advice and hands-on support across a wide range of HR areas—from employee relations to recruitment, policy development, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Support employee relations cases (grievances, disciplinary, absence, etc.)
- Assist with performance management and improvement plans
- Manage recruitment processes and onboarding for specific roles
- Develop and implement HR policies in line with current legislation
- Advise on key HR topics including diversity, conduct, appraisals, and conflict resolution
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports on key HR metrics
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, and DE&I initiatives
- Support organisational change, such as restructures or policy changes
- Liaise with external HR support providers and advisory bodies as needed
About You
- Experience in an HR Advisor or similar role (2-5 years ideally)
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- CIPD qualified or working towards (or equivalent)
- Organised and able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- High level of discretion and professional integrity
- Confident user of Microsoft 365 tools
