Dedicated Geography Teacher Wanted in Richmond! Successful Department

Our ambitious school in Richmond is seeking a Dedicated Geography Teacher to join our successful and growing Geography department. We are keen to hear from teachers who are excellent practitioners and have a passion for exploring the world with their students. There may be opportunities for a TLR for candidates with the drive and potential to contribute to the development of the department.

Location: Richmond Role: Geography Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of both physical and human geography.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Geography curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Geography.
  • TLR opportunities may include leading fieldwork, developing resources, or supporting extracurricular geography clubs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong geographical knowledge and a passion for current global issues and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage students in Geography.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities within the Geography department (for TLR consideration).
