About the Role:

This is a thrilling opportunity to join our client's team at a pivotal time in the modernisation of the UK's wastewater infrastructure. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will oversee the development and delivery of critical capital projects, ensuring wastewater networks remain resilient, efficient, and environmentally sustainable. From preventing sewer flooding to reducing river spills, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of urban water management.



About the Client:

Our client is the UK's largest water and wastewater services provider, supporting over 16 million customers. Dedicated to creating a better future for people and the planet, they are embarking on ambitious infrastructure upgrades to enhance network performance and environmental impact.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design development of wastewater network projects from concept to contract award.
  • Assess risks and opportunities to ensure robust project scope and pricing.
  • Ensure detailed designs are implemented effectively and adapted during construction.
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and asset handover.
  • Lead design reviews for safety, feasibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as main liaison for CDM Designer/Principal Designer responsibilities during early project stages.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Technical Asset Standards.


What Our Client is Looking For:

  • HNC, degree or master's degree in Civil Engineering (or similar discipline).
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Proven experience in wastewater network design and rehabilitation.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations in construction.
  • Awareness of engineering project delivery and industrial process design.
