A leading Tier 1 contractor in the water sector is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of two major pipe-laying projects. This position offers flexible hybrid working with a choice of office locations including Reading, Rickmansworth, Swindon, Redhill, and others.

The Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management across two significant infrastructure projects. You'll be responsible for contract administration under NEC, managing subcontractor negotiations, and supporting the development of junior team members. This is a key role within a well-established commercial team on a long-term water framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial delivery of large-scale pipe-laying works
  • Manage NEC contract obligations and ensure compliance
  • Negotiate and agree terms with subcontractors
  • Produce accurate cost forecasts, valuations, and financial reports
  • Mentor and support junior commercial staff within the team

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior QS role within utilities or civil engineering
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with NEC contracts
  • Confident in negotiating subcontractor agreements and managing performance
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field
