Supply Desk is working with a high-achieving secondary school in Rickmansworth seeking an inspiring Head of Drama to lead their vibrant Drama department from January 2026.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Drama Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Significant leadership experience within a school or department

  • Experience teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team

  • Excellent organisational and curriculum planning skills

  • Genuine enthusiasm for performing arts and pupil achievement

  • Outstanding classroom management and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Drama department, including curriculum planning and delivery

  • Teach engaging and high-quality Drama lessons across key stages

  • Inspire pupils to develop confidence, creativity, and performance skills

  • Monitor and assess student progress to secure excellent outcomes

  • Coordinate school productions and extra-curricular drama activities

  • Contribute to whole-school events and staff development initiatives
