Location: Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: £33,075 – £50,471 (MPS/UPS or UQ scale, depending on experience)

Are you passionate about Science and eager to spark curiosity and achievement in young minds? A forward-thinking secondary school in Rickmansworth is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from ASAP or October 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher, Early Career Teacher (ECT), or an Unqualified Teacher (UQ) gaining experience, offering strong professional development within a supportive department.

The Role:

Become part of a dynamic Science team that values innovation, collaboration, and high standards. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to deliver Key Stage 5 lessons depending on your expertise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Contribute to curriculum development and lead extracurricular STEM activities
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent events
• Support whole-school improvement through collaborative work

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Teacher (QTS), ECT, or UQ with a strong Science background
• Passion for motivating and inspiring students in Science
• Excellent subject knowledge and commitment to academic excellence
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness to receive feedback and invest in professional development
