Prospero Teaching is working with a 'Good' Ofsted rated Secondary School looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, youll step into the classroom to ensure lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher. Youll deliver pre-prepared work, keep students engaged, and maintain a positive learning environment across a variety of subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes and deliver set work during teacher absence.
- Maintain a calm, focused atmosphere and manage behaviour effectively.
- Support students with their tasks and answer questions where possible.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student conduct.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive learning culture.
Contract Details:
- Location: Ringwood, Hampshire
- Position: Cover Supervisor
- Type of Work: Classroom Supervision
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
- Pay: From 103 per day
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
- Two professional child-related references.
- GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
- A degree is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
