CAD Technician
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Technician to join a growing transport and engineering consultancy. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from small-scale residential developments to large mixed-use schemes.
Key responsibilities:
·Collaborating with senior team members to produce high-quality drawings for a variety of highway and drainage projects.
·Using AutoCAD to create detailed plans, layouts, and designs for highway schemes, including vehicular accesses and visibility splays.
·Carrying out swept path analyses.
·Making design amendments and updates to ensure drawings remain accurate and compliant with specifications.
·Working closely with colleagues across the design team to ensure coordinated outputs.
Essential skills and experience:
·Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
·Good working knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly in relation to highway design.
·Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver precise, accurate drawings.
·Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
·Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
