CAD/CAM Programmer Operator
Ripon
A production-focused role, supporting manufacturing operations preparing accurate, machine-ready files for production.
The position is CAM focused with minimal CAD and may suit someone with experience of programming and operating CNC machinery who is looking to move into an office based role.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with existing CAD drawings importing them into CAM to produce programs and nests for laser, press brakes and CNC lathes
- Interpreting technical drawings and customer specifications accurately
- Producing machine-ready files for press brake, laser, and CNC lathes
- Working closely with operations and production teams, you will help ensure work flows efficiently from order through to manufacture.
- Working with Autodesk Fusion software
- Implementing improvements and cost savings where possible
- Review MRP reports to generate works order prints and drawings for shop floor distribution.
- Manage materials requirements as required
The Person
* Experience in a CAD/CAM, nesting, or production programming role
* Familiarity with press brake or CNC manufacturing environments
* Experience with laser cutting processes
* Basic CAD / CAM understanding and experience with nesting
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Practical, production-focused mindset
