The opportunity
Our client is currently seeking a skilled EC&I Engineer to join their growing engineering team, supporting gas and energy sector projects across the UK and Europe. This is a hybrid role based out of our Warrington office.

The role
As an EC&I Engineer, you'll report to the Lead EC&I Engineer and play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) engineering within single or multi-discipline EPCM or EPC projects.

This role is based in Warrington (Hybrid)
Salary: Ranging between £50,000 – £60,000 per annum DOE

Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Deliver EC&I design within scope, budget, and schedule across greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Lead or support EC&I elements in a range of projects from concept through to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines including Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Process, and Automation.
  • Maintain a high standard of design quality and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Attend internal and external design reviews, presenting design progress and decisions.
  • Contribute to construction, testing, and commissioning support as needed.

You will have the following qualifications and experience 

  • 3+ years’ experience in EC&I engineering within EPCM/EPC environments.
  • A solid foundation in Electrical and Instrumentation design, with knowledge across other disciplines.
  • Experience delivering projects in industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemicals, Nuclear, or Utilities.
  • Familiarity with AMTECH, AutoCAD, and standard Microsoft Office tools.
  • A relevant degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, or MSc) in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • A good understanding of British and international engineering standards.
  • A proactive, detail-driven approach with a “right first time” mindset.
  • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing priorities and engineering dependencies.
