Pay: 13ph
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 11pm-7am
Candidate must be happy with manual handling tasks
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including loading and unloading materials, as well as basic mechanical knowledge for equipment repair.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory and manage shipments effectively.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying deliveries and preparing outgoing shipments.
- Assist with materials handling within the warehouse, ensuring efficient organisation of stock.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including basic math calculations for inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair tasks.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other materials handling equipment safely.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory tracking and reporting purposes.
