As Financial Controller you will be responsible for a small team and the financial management of 2 manufacturing plants. You will be responsible for reporting to the Group as well as business partnering with the Site Executive Officer, supporting them with strategic planning and advice.

My client, a manufacturing business with a global presence, are looking for a Financial Controller to manage 2 of their manufacturing plants. This business are market leaders in their sector and there is a lot of investment going into improving the site's manufacturing facility. This is an exciting time to join the business!

Description

  • Responsible for quarterly financial reporting and monthly management accounting
  • Provide transparency of financial development and main drivers to steer the business and support management decisions
  • Reflect latest developments in forecasts
  • Lead Operative and Strategic Planning process for the entity across all sites and functions
  • Ensure compliance with UK legal and Global financial reporting standards and policies
  • Prepare presentations on business development for the Division and Entity management
  • Conduct profitability and special analyses and derive recommendations for action
  • Continuously and improve Finance & Controlling processes, systems, methodologies and tools
  • Act as business partner for senior management team and all entity functions to actively drive the financial performance of the entity
  • Lead the UK Finance and Controlling team
  • Key contact person for Division Controller (for monthly management accounting), Corporate Accounting & Controlling (for quarterly financial reporting), external auditors, tax advisors, bank and insurers

Profile

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Experience operating at Financial Controller level, ideally within the Manufacturing sector or in a business with a global presence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to mentor a more junior member of the team
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
