On behalf of my client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Electronics organisation based in Greater Manchester I am pleased to present the opportunity for an Electronics Test Technician on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing Sub-assembly and Final assembly items in accordance with defined Test Procedures and/or relevant Manufacturing and Test Instructions.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join the business in a period of exciting growth, coupled with them having recently relocated to smart new offices in Rochdale with excellent transport links.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing Test Sub and Top assemblies to support the manufacturing process
  • Diagnosing and analysing failures down to component level
  • Completion of test reports and records in accordance with defined Test procedures
  • Supporting design and NPI teams in developing Test Schedules for new products
  • Performing test equipment maintenance as defined within the appropriate maintenance procedures
  • Supporting Avionics Test and Environmental Test


You:

  • HNC or equivalent experience
  • Engineering / technical experience in electronics assembly, testing and diagnostics
  • Understanding of drawings and the schematics of products to trace the root cause of a failure
  • Excellent cross functional team working skills
