Working Foreman

Job Title: Working ForemanLocation: Various sites across the UKContract Type: Full-time, Temp to PermSalary: £200 - £220 per day

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established civil engineering company delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, and client satisfaction, they are seeking an experienced Working Foreman to join one of their existing gangs.

This is a hands-on role – the successful candidate will lead by example, working alongside the team as well as supervising. We’re looking for someone respected on site, who motivates others by setting the standard and getting stuck in when needed.

Working ForemanKey Responsibilities:

• Lead a team and oversee civil engineering projects from start to finish.
• Concreate repairs, (breaking out and reinstating) drainage, kerbing, etc.
• Work closely with project managers to meet requirements.
• Interpret drawings and ensure accurate implementation of specifications.
• Motivate, support, and manage site teams effectively.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Monitor project timelines and maintain efficient workflows.
• Build and maintain strong communication with clients.
• Be flexible to work away when required.

Working ForemanRequirements:

• SSSTS and First Aid certificate (essential).
• Proven experience in civil engineering projects.
• Ability to read drawings and lead teams with confidence.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home.
• Own vehicle and tools (company van and fuel card provided for distant projects).
• Hands-on approach – willing to work alongside the team as well as supervise.
