Purpose Of the Role:
To oversee and coordinate the activities of the Central Order Management team, ensuring the smooth processing of customer orders, adherence to internal standards, and delivery of a high level of service. The role combines technical oversight of operational processes with team coordination and people development.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical and disciplinary management of the Central Order Management team
Development, training, and coaching of team members to achieve high performance
Coordination and optimisation of service workflows and order processing procedures
Monitoring and analysis of runtime statistics and quality KPIs
Liaising with internal departments and external clients to resolve issues and improve service
Attending customer meetings and supporting key client relationships
Driving conflict resolution across order management processes and between sites
Ensuring compliance with internal service level agreements and process standards
Maintaining clear communication within the team and with stakeholders
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices
The Ideal candidate will have:
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in logistics or order management
Proven experience in team coordination or supervisory roles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage customer and internal relationships
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
A proactive and solution-focused mindset
The ability to analyse performance data and act accordingly
Experience in managing sickness notifications, conducting interviews, issuing warnings, and granting leave
Confidence in making hiring recommendations and supporting staff development
