Our client is ideally looking for someone who has worked within the passive fire protection industry but would also consider people who have worked within product certification. Responsibilities • Certify and ensure compliance for passive fire protection products.• Be involved with technical assessments, planning test programs, review technical documents and continuously update industry standards when required (national & international).• Produce detailed technical reports on passive fire protection products to help provide solutions and advice.• Assist with installation of product testing (internally and externally), working closely with third parties within the industry.• Assist with CAD drawings.• Offer guidance on new product ranges and the minimum testing requirements required.• Provide support during audits.• Work closely with technical, sales and R&D teams to address market needs.• Deliver technical advice to the clients/contractors for both new and existing products and solutions. • Attend committee and public platform meetings to represent the company. The Person• Educated to degree level in either Science or Engineering disciplines or equivalent. • Experience of the passive fire protection industry (desirable).• Industrial experience of product certification or product testing.• Understanding of national and international testing standards.• Ability to interpret technical drawings.• Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve.• Excellent communication skills.• Ability to work within a team and independently.• Flexible and willing to travel as and when required by the business.
