Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting a teaching assistant on behalf of a Primary School in Rochdale to start asap. This is a full time, long-term role with a salary from £90.00 - £110 per day.About the schoolWe are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of a friendly, popular and successful primary school. This primary school is in central Rochdale and are very proud of their long history of high performance. Pupils here have been achieving above the national average for the last 3 years and their average progress scores across reading, writing and maths are very good. This consistent performance means children will achieve their full potential while studying here.

About the roleWe are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their KS1 department, supporting children with SEN. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and a good knowledge of the National Curriculum. You must have prior experience of supporting children with special educational needs and be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.

The successful candidate will be supporting one child in Year 1 who has ASC, emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will responsible for the support of the pupil; but also, be responsible for supporting the teacher with the learning of the whole class.
