Finance Manager

Based: North Manchester

Salary: up to £60k bonus benefits

I am working with a fantastic, growing business offering a great opportunity as they enter an exciting period of change. Due to new acquisitions and an internal restructure, we are looking for a qualified Finance Manager to join the business looking after a team of 4 in finance. You will report directly to the FD, heavily involved in all aspects of finance and business partnering with wider company Directors and assisting with internal change across processes & systems

Role:

  • Leading & developing finance team of 4-5 staff
  • Business partnering with wider group providing financial support & information
  • Managing fixed assets, cash flow forecasting, cash management & all reconciliations
  • Analysing and investigating variances, summarising data and drawing reports
  • Preparing monthly management accounts & sit P&Ls
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts, maintaining fixed asset register
  • Maintaining accurate accruals & prepayments, developing Assistant Accountant in this area
  • Manipulating data within Excel providing quarterly and annual reports & tax filings
  • Liaising with auditors assisting with annual audit alongside FD
  • Overseeing Purchase & sales ledger function to ensure accuracy
  • Identifying and implementing improvements throughout finance including processes & systems

Experience:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least 2 years PQE
  • Team management experience & keen to lead & develop a team
  • Experience within Engineering/Construction/Plant Hire/Manufacturing/Transport/Logistics desirable
  • Strong systems & process improvement knowledge essential
  • Adaptable to change and keen to add value
