We have an exciting Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Cared for Children service in the Rochdale, Greater Manchester area.

This is an office based role

Responsibilities:

  • Deal with more complex caseload, including assessment and appropriate management of risks.
  • Work with children, young people, families and other external agencies to assist service planning.
  • Provide support to other social workers in the team who are less experienced and may also supervise students, trainees, PA's and support staff and volunteers.
  • Participate in the planning / reviewing of cases.
  • Provide advice and support, promote independence and early intervention

To be considered for the Social Worker, ideally you will have:

  • 2+ years' experience of working within a similar Cared for Children setting.
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work
  • Registration with Social Work England
