Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEN School (ASC Support)

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEN school in Rochdale, supporting students with ASC and a range of additional learning needs. The school provides a calm, inclusive, and structured environment where every child is encouraged to thrive both academically and personally.



Your Role:

  • Support students with ASC in and out of the classroom to access learning and social activities

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Promote communication, independence, and confidence among pupils

  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to provide consistent support



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting young people with ASC or additional learning needs

  • A calm, patient, and understanding nature
