HR Business Partner

  • Location: To be based in the North (remotely) with UK travel across multiple offices (covering from Conwy, Liverpool, Leeds and Hull, up to and including Scotland.

We are representing a leading manufacturing/engineering company in search of an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic advisor. This role is crucial for partnering with senior leaders to drive people strategies that align with business objectives, blending operational HR expertise with strategic planning. The HRBP will focus on talent management, performance, employee engagement, and workforce planning to support both immediate and long-term goals.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business priorities and develop aligned people strategies.
  • Ensure HR initiatives support long-term growth and business continuity by aligning with business objectives.
  • Utilize data-driven insights from HRIS to inform HR decision-making and identify focus areas.
  • Promote HR best practices and continuous improvement, positioning HR as a proactive and value-adding function.
  • Support talent acquisition, implement performance management frameworks, and guide organizational design and job role development.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and effectively manage organizational changes, including restructuring and process transformations.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and industry standards in HR policies and practices.
  • Provide expert advice on complex employee relations cases and proactively manage HR compliance risks.
  • Promote professional development and implement upskilling strategies within the HR team and leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CIPD Level 5 or above preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Additional HR or business-related qualifications are desirable.
  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role or similar, within a dynamic, manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with leadership teams to influence HR strategies and decision-making.
  • Experience in change management, workforce planning, and employee relations.
  • Strong capability in leveraging HR data and analytics to drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Proficient in translating HR data into actionable strategies and insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability, ensuring effective communication and leadership support.
  • Proficiency in HR technology, systems, and reporting tools.
