An IT Project Manager (Finance) is required for our client based in Rochdale for an initial 12-month fixed term contract (likelihood to extend). This is a hybrid position, with ideally 2-3 days per week on site.
The Project Manager will be required to oversee multiple projects within the finance service. Supporting technology changes and upgrades on the Civica Financials platform. The successful candidate will have experience with automation.
Purpose of the role:
To pro-actively engage with the Business to understand their current and future transformational needs; establish and agree development plans with ICT delivery teams and the business; and manage the delivery of those plans.
Working with a team of Analyst Project Managers to provide a consultancy and implementation management service that includes:
- Understanding, documenting, analysing, and advising on business services and processes as they relate to ICT systems
- Documenting changing requirements in relation to ICT systems
- Advising on ICT solution selection
- Supporting customers in relation to procurement of business information system
- Identifying, planning, and managing the implementation of optimum ICT solutions to meet business needs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the public sector – ideally within finance services.
- Experience with Civica Financials and upgrades on this platform will be highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
