We are currently seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to assist in the assembly and installation of large-scale rotating machinery used within the rubber mixing industry.

Who this job would suit

This position would suit experienced mechanical engineers or fitters who have worked with turbines, pumps, or similar rotating equipment.

Ideal candidates will be confident in interpreting technical drawings, have hands-on experience in assembly, and hold a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship. A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail are essential.

Hours

Shift A - Monday to Thursday, 6am to 3:45pm - 20.71 per hour

Shift B - Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm to 01:15am - 22.43 per hour

Shift B (option 2) - Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 12am. Friday - 10am to 3pm - 22.43 per hour

Permanent Night Shift - Monday to Thursday, 8pm to 6am - 22.95 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components using engineering schematics and drawings
  • Install and align motors, pumps, valves, and fluid power systems
  • Carry out precision drilling, tapping, and fitting with hand/power tools
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues during the build process
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and quality requirements
