- Handling a diverse caseload including divorce, finances, children matters, and domestic abuse cases.
- Advising clients on both legal aid and privately funded matters.
- Representing clients at court and undertaking your own advocacy where appropriate.
- Supporting or leading on more specialised or niche areas of family law if applicable.
- Assisting with the development of junior colleagues and contributing to team initiatives.
- Playing an active role in business development, networking, and promoting the firm’s services.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in family law (applications considered from NQ to senior level).
- Strong knowledge across core areas such as children matters, domestic abuse, divorce, and financial remedies.
- Panel membership or niche expertise (e.g. Child Abduction, International Family Law) is highly desirable.
- A client-focused approach with excellent communication and advocacy skills.
- A commercially aware and proactive mindset, with a genuine interest in business development.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience working with both legal aid and private clients is advantageous.
