Our client is a well-established law firm, known for providing expert, client-focused legal services across criminal defence, immigration, and divorce. They are now looking for an experienced Lawyer who can take a senior role in the firm and help drive its development.
The Role
As a commercially driven Criminal Defence Solicitor with 2 or 3 years PQE, this is an exciting time to join a busy criminal law team and take the lead on meaningful cases, advocate for clients, and develop others within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients at police stations, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on a range of criminal matters
- Prepare and manage case files from initial interview to court resolution
- Liaise with police, counsel, expert witnesses, and other third parties
- Draft legal documents and maintain accurate client records
- Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and firm procedures
- Contribute to team management, meetings, training, and departmental growth

The Ideal Candidate:
You’ll be a confident solicitor with a solid background in criminal defence, commercial awareness, a commitment to fairness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A client-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills are essential. About you:
- 2–3 years PQE in criminal defence
- Police Station Accreditation (preferred)
- Strong advocacy and case management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and own transport preferred
