An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled IT Project Manager with previous experience in local government, to join our council client on a contract basis. The role is based in Rochdale, United Kingdom and encompasses overseeing projects within the Finance Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration of new tech systems.
- Supporting customers and working with stakeholders to successfully deliver on related projects.
- Management and support of technical changes and upgrades on the Civica financial platform.
Required Skills:
- Local Government Experience: Direct experience in managing projects within local government settings is crucial.
- Finance Service Project Management: Proven track record of successfully managing finance-related projects will be advantageous.
- Tech Upgrade Implementation: Experience with implementing technological upgrades, with a preference for candidates who have worked with Civica Financials and BluePrism.
- Automation Background: Ideal candidates will have a background in automation, aiding in efficient migration and integration processes.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
This contract role requires the candidate to work on-site for three days per week, offering flexibility with a hybrid work setup. The initial contract duration is for six months, with potential extensions based on project requirements and performance.
