Your new role:
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and career-driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their surveying career to gain hands-on experience across all aspects of project delivery, from procurement to final account, within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of tender and contract documents

  • Supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers

  • Measuring works on-site and managing interim valuations

  • Assisting in cost planning, forecasting, and commercial reporting

  • Monitoring project progress and identifying variations

  • Helping prepare and agree final accounts

  • Liaising with site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and company procedures

  • Attending project meetings and reporting to the Senior QS/Commercial Manager

What you will need to succeed:

  • A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or working towards it)

  • 1-2 years of industry experience in a commercial or surveying role

  • Familiarity with dry-lining, ceilings, or interiors (desirable but not essential)

  • Strong numeracy and IT skills, including MS Excel

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

  • Full UK driving licence
