Seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor for a temporary position within the Construction Industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a background in Surveying.

Our client is a well-established organisation within the Construction industry. They are a family-run and well established business known for their focus on quality and commitment to providing excellent service within the sector.

Description

  • Managing all costings related to construction projects from the initial calculations to the final figures
  • Assessing the financial risks of projects and making recommendations to mitigate these
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and contractors, ensuring clear communication at all times
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment and other documents
  • Advising on procurement strategy and assisting in establishing a client's requirements
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
  • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use

Profile

A successful Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement options
  • Excellent numeracy and financial management skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • An analytical, problem-solving mindset
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations
