Rochdale Family Support and Protection Service are looking for a Consultant Social Worker.

Rochdale is currently in an exciting transition into the family safeguarding model. We are in the process of establishing multi-disciplinary teams where specialist practitioners are co-located with social workers under a unified management structure. This enables a multi-disciplinary whole family response through direct assessment. This is a really exciting time for Rochdale and we need Consultant Social Worker to support our ASYE’s in implementing this model.

About the role: The role is a non-case holding.

Supporting and mentoring up to 12 AYSE’s,

Role model good practiceSupporting in assessment and planning.Completing direct observationsReport writingDeveloping bespoke trainingPerformance managementQuality AssuranceReflective discussionsSupport in attending meetingsWorking closely with Work Force Development

Our agency workers are seen as an important resource for us and as such are given the same level of support and opportunities as our permanent staff.

We are looking for an agency worker who has significant experience in working with children and families throughout their social care journey including, assessing, planning, child protection work and care proceedings through to permanency planning.

You will have a proven record of producing good quality written work in a timely manner.

The role also requires experience in supporting ASYE’s in the work place and or hold Practice Educator status.
