ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School based in Whitworth.

Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Whitworth

  • Position - SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Start date - September 2025

  • Full time/part time - Full-time

  • Minimum rate of pay - 103.95 - 110 per day

  • Hours - 8:30 am - 15:30 pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a UK school (essential)

  • Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above) preferred

  • Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, or other additional needs desirable

  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year

  • A nurturing and patient approach to supporting learning and behaviour

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application

  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
