SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEN School (Rochdale)
Start Date: January

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Secondary SEN School in Rochdale from January.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive and inclusive school environment.



The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated and engaging lessons

  • Supporting students with communication, emotional regulation, and social development

  • Promoting positive behaviour and independence

  • Providing both academic and pastoral support throughout the school day



The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
