Our client an award winning, independent family-owned manufacturing company, are looking to recruit an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their team. The Fabricator/Welder will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and fabrication processes. This role involves working with various materials, primarily steel, to assemble components and create high-quality products. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

The Job

Weld components using MIG welding techniques and other methods as required.

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.

Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.

Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.

Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG welding.

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.

Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication.

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.

Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Hours of Work are 9am 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 2pm Friday
