We're recruiting for a Welder Fabricator who's also happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into mechanical engineering work - think servicing, refurbishing, repairing and installing heavy recycling machinery like conveyors, balers, shredders and compactors.
This is not a static role - it's mobile. You'll travel from your home across the UK (yes, you can be based anywhere within England or Wales) using a company van, paid mileage, and company card. Some overnight stays, weekend work and on-call rota apply - but that just means more earning potential.
What You'll Be Doing and Why You'll Enjoy It
Welding and fabricating on-site: MIG, ARC, TIG - ideally coded
Stripping and rebuilding recycling machinery (training provided)
Servicing and maintaining kit at major recycling and retail sites
Refurbishment, breakdown response, installs, inspections
Taking ownership: problem-solving, not just following instructions
You'll Fit This Role If You
Have solid welding and fabrication experience (coded preferred)
Are confident working with mechanical systems
Hold a full UK driving licence
Are flexible to travel, stay away, and work some weekends
Have experience with recycling or heavy production machinery (advantageous, not essential)
Own basic hand tools (specialist tools provided)
