Business Engagement Consultant
Salary 26000 to 28000 DOE
Hours Monday to Friday

IPS International is scaling its footprint across apprenticeships and commercial training and is seeking a high calibre Business Engagement Consultant to drive market penetration and deliver sustained growth across our core sectors. This is a pivotal commercial role that will shape employer engagement activity and underpin our strategic agenda for 2024 and beyond.

We are looking for a results focused operator with a proven track record in generating new business, nurturing existing accounts and delivering against KPIs in a dynamic environment. You will combine strong negotiating capability with the confidence to work autonomously while operating as a key contributor within a close knit team.

Candidates with experience in apprenticeship engagement, ESFA compliance, or sector knowledge across Engineering, Business and Digital Skills, Health and Social Care, Construction or Automotive will be strongly advantaged.

About IPS International

IPS International is a long standing Apprenticeship and Commercial Training provider with a headcount of 70+ employees and a broad programme portfolio. We support employers across Kent and the South East from our Rochester and Dover centres, as well as delivering onsite training solutions.

Full time and part time applications are welcomed. Salary will be pro rata for part time hours and aligned to experience. All appointments are subject to mandatory safeguarding training and a satisfactory DBS check.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive employer outreach using a range of channels including outbound calling, email campaigns, social engagement and virtual or face to face appointments

  • Build, maintain and expand relationships with new and existing employers, offering structured advice on workforce development and skills solutions

  • Support employer recruitment activity for Apprenticeships, including providing funding guidance

  • Maintain accurate CRM and lead records to enable robust reporting and performance tracking

  • Stay current with programme developments including new Standards, funding rules and ESFA incentives

  • Represent IPS at networking events, exhibitions and school/employer engagement activities

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong sales capability with confidence in cold calling, face to face meetings and virtual engagement

  • Employer engagement experience ideally within skills, apprenticeships or traineeships

  • Negotiation skills and resilience in target driven environments

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

  • Awareness of local employability organisations and employer networks

  • Understanding of the regional job market and business landscape

  • Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks across engineering, automotive, construction, social care, early years, IT, digital, HR or management

  • Experience in recruitment or account management

Safeguarding and Compliance

All roles at IPS International involve regulated activity. Enhanced DBS checks, reference checks and a self declaration process will be required. Suitability to work with children and vulnerable adults will form part of the interview assessment.
